Doris Wilson, age 79, of Marshall died unexpectedly Friday morning, May 18, 2007 at Oaklawn Hospital.Mrs. Wilson was born on February 6, 1928 in Ceresco to Harold H. and Zella C. (Sinclair) Frohm. She was a life long resident of this area. Doris was a homemaker and also worked from her home as a seamstress. She made alterations on uniforms for the soldier''s stationed with the Air Guard Base in Battle Creek and also doing alterations for Jacobson''s Department store in Battle Creek. Doris had also worked at Standard Printing in Marshall early in her life.On January 2, 1946, she married Donald W. Wilson in Marshall at the Brooks United Methodist Church parsonage. He preceded her in death on June 19, 2006.Mrs. Wilson enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband at fiddle jamborees held throughout Michigan. She was an avid reader and belonged to several book clubs. Doris was a very crafty person and devoted an entire room in her home to the many crafts that she would make.She is survived by daughters, Sheryl (Tom) Ringelberg of Marshall and Gloria (Ron) Huff of Battle Creek; sons, Gary (Kathy) Wilson of Denton, North Carolina and Wesley Wilson of Battle Creek; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandson; and a brother, David Frohm of Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by sisters, Virginia Holden and Lillian Crisman.A graveside service will be held 1:30 pm, Monday, May 21, 2007 at Ceresco Cemetery with Reverend Richard Schlee officiating. Friends who wish may memorial contributions to the Good Samaritan Hospice or to the Ceresco Baptist Church. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.
