Clarence Williams

Clarence "Clancy" Williams, 69, of Marshall died on Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at his home.Clancy was born July 8, 1938, in Marshall to Charles P. and Ruth Mary (Kinney) Williams. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1957.Clancy was a computer programmer for State Farm Insurance for many years, and he later worked for the government at the Federal Center retiring in 1998. Clancy enjoyed visiting with his friends for breakfast at Denny''s and have lunch at the Marshall Moonraker. He also enjoyed bowling and playing golf. He was a member of the Marshall Moose Lodge #676.He is survived by his two sisters Leila Hawver, of Fairview, NC, Ruth Evabell Mizell, of Holden, LA. numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Helen Scarbrough, brother Charles Williams Jr., half brother Sheldon Coats, and two half sisters, Dorothy Farmer, and Irene Setser.Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Friday April 11, 2008 from 5-8pm with family present to greet friends at that time. Funeral services celebrating his life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 12, 2008, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Donor's Choice.
