Zella Elvina Sundberg, age 94, of Marshall died Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Flower House Assisted Living Home in Nashville, Michigan
Mrs. Sundberg was born on February 17, 1926 in Brookfield, Michigan to Homer Cobb and Pearl Anna (Leslie) Wells. She was a long-time resident of the Marshall area and had been employed by the Michigan National Bank for over 25 years. She started in the booking and proof department and advanced into the position of Supervisor. She retired in December of 1985. Other places of employment included Reo Motors in Lansing, Wilson Gay-Radio in Charlotte, and Woodlin Metal in Marshall
On September 17, 1944, she married Clifford Ray Sundberg in Olivet. He preceded her in death on October 15, 1992.
Zella enjoyed the outdoors in the summer and working in her well-maintained garden. She loved to can vegetables from her garden and grew all kinds of beautiful flowers. She received many compliments about her yard, flowers, and garden. She enjoyed cooking and baking. Zella loved spending time with her family, especially her grand nieces and nephews.
She survived by her many loving nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by sisters, Arlene Saunby and Shirley Hines; and brothers, Clare Wells and Leslie Wells.
Family and friends will gather from 11 AM to 12 PM, Thursday, August 27, 2020 at the Kempf
Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services 723 Old UW Hwy 27 N. Marshall, MI 49068. A graveside service will be held 12:30 PM Thursday at Oakridge Cemetery, Marshall, Michigan.
