Wilma Janet Washburn, 70, of Marshall, passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 16, 1952 to William and Frances (Davis) Richardson in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. Wilma graduated from Marshall High School in 1970.

On December 6, 1969 she married John Grover Washburn at Ellis Corners Lutheran Church, sadly he passed away on May 10, 2010.

She was an avid bowler, having bowled for many years in Battle Creek area leagues. Wilma enjoyed going to the casino, completing crossword and word search puzzles. Her banana bread and summer sausage will be missed by all who had the pleasure of tasting it. Wilma welcomed everyone in her home, she was lovingly known as MA by all her children's friends. Above all else, she loved her family and especially her grandchildren.

Wilma is survived by her children; David Washburn of Marshall, Steven (Suebe) Washburn of Battle Creek and Susan (Rodney) Stone of Marshall, her grandchildren; Autumn (Alex) Yost, Nicholas (Ashley Stapp) Rapp, Brandon (Kelsi) Rapp, Skylar (Taylor) Washburn, Joshua (Alexis Miller) Washburn, Zoey Stone, Olivia Stone and Tugani Borina, her great grandchild, Paislee Washburn, her sisters; LeeEtta (Garry) Cowles of Marshall, Helen Thomas of Georgia and Joyce (Jerry) Cloninger of Golcanda, Illinois.

She was preceded in death by husband; John G. Washburn, her grandson; Joseph Walter Stone, her parents; and her sisters; Alta Stafford, Louise Taylor and Adele Byers.

Visitation for Wilma will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall, Michigan 49068. Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 18, 2022, 11:00 am at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, Marshall, Michigan with Jacob E. Washburn, officiating.

Burial will take place in the Lyon Lake Cemetery, Fredonia Twp.
