Sheryl L. Hewitt, age 65, of Bellevue, MI passed away unexpectedly at her home Wednesday, July 10, 2019. She was born January 12, 1954 in Battle Creek, MI the daughter of David and Dorothy (Kimorer) Hewitt. Sheryl earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing which she dearly loved. She was employed with Battle Creek Health Systems, Borgess Hospital, and later in her career with Nursing Home Facilities where she retired. Sheryl enjoyed camping, bird watching and being one with nature.
She is survived by her son, Derek Hayes; grandchildren, Nathaniel Hayes, Nevaeh Hayes; siblings, David Hewitt, Carol Russell, Ed (Carrie) Hewitt, Suzie Hewitt; and fiancé, Mike Dolph. Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents.
Family will receive friends at the Kempf Funeral & Cremation Service, Bellevue on Sunday, July 14, 2019 from 11:00am - 2:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 15, 2018 at 1:30pm with Celebrant Jacob Washburn officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Bellevue Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Lupus Foundation of America, 2121 K Street NW, Ste. 200, Washington D.C. 20037.
