In the early morning of October 3, 2020 Scott Alan Warman was taken tragically from his family and friends. He was born July 31, 1968 and raised in Marshall, MI. He attended Marshall Community Schools from elementary thru high school, graduating in 1986. Scott was an amazing person who always put others first.
Scott was always very mechanically inclined, between motocross racing and his passion for engine building. He started his career at Brayton Engineering right after high school, fabricating classic vehicles and eventually becoming the Lead Engine Builder. An example of one of his special fabricating projects is the SB Cobra which he built with his father, Bullet Bob, for Gary Cippolloni, a close family friend. In addition, Scott was part of the racing team that built the winning motor for the Indy 500 in 1998, driven by Eddie Chever. After working 18 years at Brayton Engineering, Scott started his own business of Warman Racing Engines, where he built engines for Silver Crown Sprint cars, Indy Lites, and IRL's. Throughout the years he worked with his good friend Mike Koss as the crew chief for Koss Motorsports. For the last 15 years he worked at Borg Warner as a Lead Lab Tech.
The great joys in Scott's life were motorsport and his family. He started riding motorcycles before he was able to touch the ground and never stopped from there. Winning hundreds of awards his passion was unstoppable. He loved to spend time playing with his grandchildren, they were his pride and joy.
Scott is survived by his daughter Shaina (Scott) Turner, Grandchildren Milo Scott (5) and Evelyn Rose "Ellie" (1.5) Turner; his mother Rose (Doc) Alwood; his brother Todd (Rita) Warman; Nieces Alicia (Alex) Badgley, Kelsey (Rodrigo) Warman; Great niece (Ava) and nephew (Ashton) Badgley as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Bob Warman; his loving companion, Manhattan (Manny); as well as Maternal (Connie and Virginia Green) and Paternal (Howard and Helen Warman) Grandparents.
