Rudolph "Rudy" Craig Gordier, 55, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on March 2, 2021 in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Rudy was born on January 1, 1966 in Marshall, Michigan to James R. and Myrtle (Heath) Gordier. He was a graduate of Marshall High School.

He entered the United States Marine Corps on September 25, 1984 and was honorably discharged on September 24, 1988 having attained the rank of Lance Corporal.

Rudy had worked as a janitor and maintenance man at a local nursing home for many years. Rudy enjoyed watching football, especially the Detroit Lions and hanging out with his friends at Silver Star Apartments.

He is survived by his mother; Myrtle Gordier of Marshall, Michigan, his siblings; Annette Picketts of Marshall, Michigan, Anita (Michael) Whittaker of Marshall, Michigan, James (Betty) Gordier of Marshall, Michigan, Susan Teachout of Livonia, Michigan, Stephen Gordier of Marshall, Michigan, David (Paige) Gordier of Brimley, Michigan and Mary Jane (Faez) Shukur of Gurnee, Illinois. Rudy is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father James Gordier.

A memorial graveside service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 2:30 PM at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan.

Memorial contributions are requested to charity of one's choice.
