Rubbie Nell Jones, age 77, of Bellevue and formerly of Battle Creek died Friday, November 22, 2019 at her home in the loving care of her family.
Mrs. Jones was born on June 18, 1942 in Georgia.
On April 28, 1960, she married Joseph “Joe” A. Jones Jr in Jessup, Georgia. The couple then moved to the Battle Creek area where she began a long working career with Marshall Brass Company. She faithfully served the company for 38 years, retiring in 2005. The couple then moved to Bradenton, Florida in retirement. Recently, the couple moved to Bellevue to live closer to family.
Rubbie enjoyed dancing with her husband and tending to her flowers in her well-maintained flower gardens. But most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a, “beautiful mother, always taking good care of her children”.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe; children, Claudia (Jeno) Guzman of Bellevue, Lindon (Tina) Jones of Florida and Teresa (Wayne) Wilson of Battle Creek; 14 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; and a sister, Betty (Larry) Smith of Lufkin, Texas. She was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 29, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bellevue Chapel of the Kempf Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services. A memorial service to celebrate the gift of her life will be held 1:00 PM at that funeral home with Pastor James Codde officiating.
