Rosemary (Francisco) Thomas

Rosemary Thomas, age 84, of Marshall died Wednesday morning, May 27, 2020 at Medilodge of Marshall.

Rosemary was born on August 30, 1935 in Marshall, Michigan to John C.  and Clara (Bowman) Francisco Sr.  She was a lifelong resident of the Marshall area and received her GED from the Marshall High School.  Rosemary had been employed as a waitress working at several area restaurant, including the Dug Out, Steak House and the Coffee Pot.

A marriage to Harold Thomas ended in divorce.

Rosemary was an active member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and was a member of the Catholic Daughters.  She also was a member of the Marshall Moose Lodge #676.  Rosemary loved Christmas and kept her home decorated for the holiday year-round.  Daily rides in the car with her friends was a favorite activity as well as making needle point pillowcases.  Rosemary enjoyed going to Hobby Lobby and getting her hair done.

She is survived by her daughter, Patty West of Marshall; several grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Susie Bellaire.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Munn and Mariam Martinez, and brother, John C. Francisco Jr.

A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 Old US 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic there will be marked entrances and exits and Social distancing.  A private funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday.  Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to the St. Mary Church or St. Jude's Children’s Hospital.  Assistance with memorials is available through the funeral home.
