Ronald (Ron) Walton

Ronald (Ron) M. Walton, 72, of Marshall, passed away on September 27, 2022, peacefully in his home.

He was born on July 21,1950 to Gene and Wanda (Hanke) Walton in Battle Creek, MI. He went to Pennfield, participating in 4-H and graduated with the class of 1968. He enlisted in the Air National Guard and worked as a fire fighter with them, while completing his degree from KCC’s radiology program. Ronald worked at Oaklawn as a radiology technologist but spent most of his career as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. On July 19, 1986, he married his wife, Jan, in Battle Creek, MI. Ron and Jan lived in Marshall, Michigan. Ron was a founding member of the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Posse, back in the 70’s. Ron loved to hunt and fish. He was an avid outdoorsman. He also loved spending a lot of time with his horses. Woodworking, stained glass, his latest hobbies. He would try all manner of things, even pressing flowers.

Ronald is survived by his loving wife Jan (Schepers), Sister, Judie Howes of Battle Creek, MI; Brother, Randall Walton of Battle Creek, MI; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by parents.

A memorial visitation will be held at Kempf Reception Center, on Wednesday, October 5th, from 6 pm to 8pm.
