Ronald Michael Rachauskas Sr.

Ronald Michael Rachauskas Sr., age 79, of Marshall, passed away on May 11, 2020. He was born June 18, 1940 in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of the late Ronald and Apolonija “Pauline” (Kuncius/ Kubeliunas) Rachauskas. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1963. He worked in Information Technology for both IBM and State Farm, retiring from both companies. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Nina “Jean” Rachauskas on March 19, 2008; and his son, Richard Rachauskas April 7, 1989; and three brothers and one sister. Surviving are his loving wife, Shari Smith; his son, Ron (Sherry) Rachauskas; Shari’s children, Benjamin Smith, Daniel (Ashley) Smith, Nathan Smith, and Jacob (Leanne) Smith; grandchildren, Cassie (Jeff) Rynberg, Kiera Smith, David and Jeremiah Smith, Gavin and Sterling Smith. A visitation will take place from 1-4 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2020 at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. *Due to Covid-19 and the restrictions of our state, there will be a limitation of 10 attendees at a time for the visitation. Please observe the posted entrance and exit signs and directions from the funeral home staff. A private funeral service will be held for the family and private interment will take place at Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery.
