Rodger Edward Ball, 77, of Marshall, Michigan passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2020 from a sudden illness at Bronson Battle Creek.

He was born on July 30, 1942 in Coldwater, Michigan to Edward and Eunice (Miller) Ball. Rodger graduated from Marshall High School in 1960. He worked for Eaton Corporation in Battle Creek and Marshall for over 30 years. After retirement from Eaton’s, Rodger truly found his calling working with disabled children in the Calhoun Intermediate School District.

He enjoyed gardening and flower arranging. Most days he could be found working in his yard or puttering in the out buildings of his historic family farm. Rodger began collecting antiques when he was ten years old. He played in bowling leagues for over 47 years.

Rodger is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sue (Harris) Ball, his children; Ryan (Jennifer) Ball of Marshall and Holly (Don) Ball-VanSpyker of Battle Creek and his beloved grandchildren, Anya VanSpyker and Porter Ball.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family, as the family considers the best way to honor Rodger.
