Robert (Bob) Leroy Fisher

Duck Lake

Robert (Bob) Leroy Fisher, 83, of Duck Lake, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2021, in Marshall, MI. He was born on December 29, 1937, to the late Robert and Etolah (Reese) Fisher in Coldwater, MI. He graduated from Washington Gardner High School in Albion and attended Kalamazoo College. While serving his country in the United States Army, 101 st Airborne from 1957 to 1960, Bob was united in marriage to Patricia Zeindler Fisher. After his military service, he started his own business, Bobco Construction and built a number of homes on Duck Lake. He concluded his career after working 20 years with the State of Michigan Department of Corrections as Maintenance Supervisor.

Bob was a member of St. John the Evangelist Parish, and served on the school board, finance committee and planning committee. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Elks and VFW. He served Clarence Township in two roles over 48 years - first as Township Clerk and then as Township Supervisor. He was also Chairman of the Springport-Clarence Fire Board and a member of the Duck Lake Association.

Robert is survived by two sons and one daughter: Robert (Diane) M. Fisher, Kevin (Vickie) A. Fisher, Lisa A. (Dan) Ragan; six grandchildren: Meredith Fisher, Lauren Fisher, Cameron Ragan, Aubrey Fisher, Shane Fisher and Jacob Fisher; one daughter-in-law, Annette Fisher; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Fisher, his son, William E. Fisher, and his sister, Jane Willsea.

Bob was devoted to his family, loved sailing, hunting, fishing, and rooting for the Detroit Lions and Michigan State Spartans.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021, from 4 - 7 p.m. at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. Following the visitation on Thursday, a Rosary service will be held at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 24, 2021, at 11 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 1020 Irwin Ave., Albion, MI 49224. Following the Mass, a graveside service with military honors will be held in Riverside Cemetery in Albion.
