Robert V. Taylor

Robert Victor Taylor, 81, of Homer, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on his wife's birthday, on April 20, 2022.

He was born on September 4, 1940, to Roland and Arlene (Zachow) Taylor in Homer, MI. He attended Babock school for 8 years until they closed, then he attended Homer High School for 4 years, graduating in 1958. Robert worked as a Farmer all his life. He also retired from the Calhoun Foundry, after 34 years. On February 14, 1959, he married Ruth Nietzke, at the First Presbyterian Church of Homer. Robert and Ruth lived in Homer, Michigan all their lives. Robert and Ruth purchased the farm in 1966, raising their children and grandchildren on the farm. They both enjoyed traveling, camping, salmon fishing on the big lakes. Once the grandchildren were born, they became part of their everyday life. Bob lived for his grandkids.

Robert is survived by his two Sons, Jeff Taylor, Bobby (Annette) Taylor; four grandchildren, Heather (Kyle) Richey, Ashley Taylor and Josh Dixon, Tanner Taylor, Tyler Taylor, step-grandson Jason (Amanda) Adams; Two Great-Grandchildren, Taylor Marie Dixon, Jackson Douglas Richey.

He was preceded in death by Wife, Ruth A. Taylor, Father, Roland Taylor, Mother, Arlene Taylor.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 24, 2022, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Homer, Michigan.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 25, 2022, 11:00 am at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Homer, Michigan.

Burial will take place in the Fairfield Cemetery following the service.
