Ramon D. Hart Jr.

Ramon D. Hart Jr., 63, of Marshall, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on April 27, 1958 to Ramon D. and E. Marlene (Tomke) Hart Sr. in Cheboygan. Ramon graduated from Cheboygan High School and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at Davenport University.

Ramon married Doreen Hazel on August 19, 1995 in Paw Paw. He worked as a Cost Accountant with JBS Beef Plant in Plainwell for 23 years, retiring in 2016.

Ramon was a longtime Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader, his three sons all earned their Eagle Scout Badges. He enjoyed playing Euchre and other card games, He was a Detroit Lion's, Detroit Tiger's and University of Michigan fan. He loved being with his family and friends and especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his father; Ramon (Jenny) Hart Sr. of Cheboygan, his wife; Doreen, his sons; Douglas  (Lori) Hart of Zionsville, Indiana, Jamie (Kris) Hart of Battle Creek, Michigan, and Nathan Hart of Nashville, Tennessee, his grandchildren; Brady, Jessie, Cody, Carter, Noah, Lily, Madison, Matt and Brynne, his siblings; Roy (Kathy) Hart, Randy (Sherie) Hart, Lillian (Mike) Baker, Rosemary (Perry) Newman and Ron (Shelly) Hart. Ramon was preceded in death by his mother, E. Marlene Hart.

A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, September 18, 2021 from 1:00 – 4:00 PM at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall, Michigan 49068.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in lieu of flowers due to his years fighting diabetes.
