Paul Jean Tourney, 89, of Bellevue, Michigan passed away on April 26, 2021 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan.
Paul was born on January 28, 1932 in Quincy, Illinois to Paul Lee and Henriette Rose (Cordsiemon) Tourney. He married Rose Borck on January 23, 1993.
He graduated from the University of Illinois with many different degrees. He worked as the Coordinator of Rehabilitation Medicine at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek. Paul was instrumental in the beginning of the golf course at Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek. After his retirement from VA Medical Center, he spent the next 25 years working at Stonehedge Golf Course as a groundskeeper enjoying the beautiful courses, wildlife and the beauty of the outdoors.
Paul is survived by his wife; Rose Tourney; his step-children; Thomas (Dina) Borck of Apex, N. Carolina, Christina (Christopher) Forsyth of Imlay City, Michigan and Anna (Todd) Benzing of Big Rapids, Michigan, his 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; his sister; Joan Wright and nephew Myles Wright. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A private graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue, Michigan.
