Norvonna "Peg" Pennington, 80, of Marshall died on Monday January 9, 2012, at Maplewood of Marshall. Mrs. Pennington was born on April 3, 1931, in Battle Creek to Charles and Vergie (Ayers) Hollister. She graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1949. On October 28, 1950, she married Norman E. Pennington in Battle Creek. He preceded her in death in 2002. Mrs. Pennington was a home maker staying at home and raising her children. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross, and a den mother when her children were younger. Mrs. Pennington enjoyed camping, going to casinos, bowling, sewing, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons Richard (Mary) Pennington, of Marshall, Michael K. Pennington of Battle Creek, a grandson Curtis (Sarah Casing) Pennington of Marshall, and a sister Jeannetta West of Slay, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son David A. Pennington in 1971, and ten siblings. Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Thursday from 5-7pm with family present to greet friends at that time. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place at 2pm on Friday, January 13, 2012, at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend David Boedecker officiating.
