Nicholas Pultorak, 96, of Coldwater, died on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Community Health Center of Branch County surrounded by his three children.Mr. Pultroak was born on December 6, 1917 in Metz, Michigan to Valentine and Mary (Hornicki) Pultorak. He graduated from Cass Technical High School and later the Henry Ford Trade School in 1940.Mr. Pultorak worked for several years in the auto industry as a pattern maker. He also took up professional motorcycle racing who he raced on the factory teams for. These included Harley-Davidson, Norton, and Indian Motorcycles. He won several races and point series across the country. Mr. Pultorak owned a Norton Motorcycle Dealership in Garden City, Michigan and was the east coast distributor for Castrol Oil for many years. He enjoyed gardening, growing blueberries, the outdoors and traveling with his family. Mr. Pultorak was an avid fisherman making several trips to Alaska and Canada for trout and salmon.He is survived by his children, Nicholas Pultorak of Tampa, Florida, Suzan (Dr. Mark) Kallus of Coldwater, Michigan, and Linda (David) Conti of Coatesville, Indiana; step-son, Michael Cynar of Flat Rock, Michigan; three grandchildren, Nicholas Pultorak, Anna Pultorak, and Lucca Conti. He was preceded in death by his parents and 9 siblings.Family will greet friends at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home, 723 US 27 North, Marshall, MI 49068, from 10am-11am on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 with a celebration of life taking place at 11am. Family will gather with friends following the services at Schuler's Restaurant in Marshall.
