Neesha Kay Travis

Neesha Kay Travis, age 63, of Marshall passed away July 5, 2018 at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor.

Neesha was born on March 16, 1955 in Fort Hood, Texas to Ralph and Shirley (Fox) Swafford. She graduated from Marshall public schools with the class of 1973. Neesha worked as a Project Planner in the automotive industry for nearly 25 years before her illness prevented her from working.

She married Richard Travis in Marshall on May 26, 1990, where they spent 28 years together.

Neesha liked swimming and enjoyed the water. She loved spending quality time with her grandchildren. Neesha was a great cook and loved cooking for her family. She enjoyed going up north, and campfires.

Neesha is survived by her husband, Rich Travis of Marshall; children, Lisa (Mike) Holmes of Battle Creek, Tony (Jessica) Travis of Marshall, and Troy Ellis Jr.; grandchildren, Mariah (Steven) Vaden, Travis Holmes, Cody Travis, and Madison Travis; great-grandchild, Harper Vaden; and brother, Lee (Tammy) Swafford of Grand Rapids. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Shirley Swafford.

A memorial service will take place at the Moose Lodge in Marshall on July 14th from 2-4pm.

The family is being served by the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 Old US 27 North, Marshall Chapel.
