Mildred P. Cooper

Mildred " Millie" P. Cooper, 100, of Springfield, Michigan passed away on June 15, 2021 at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Millie was born on May 20, 1921 in Battle Creek, Michigan to James Percy and Gladys L. (Hughes) Watkins.
She graduated in 1939 from Lakeview High School in Battle Creek, Millie married Robert R. Cooper on July 7, 1946 and sadly he preceded her in death on July 1, 1998.
Millie faithfully believed that we are here on this Earth to serve others. She enjoyed going to church and was a longtime foster grandparent in her daughter's classroom with Battle Creek Public Schools. Above all else, Millie absolutely loved her family and the times they could spend together. The holidays were her favorite.
Mildred is survived by her children; Linda (Robert) Losik of Fennville, Michigan and Rexanne (Alan) Francis of Dorr, Michigan, her grandchildren; Andrew Losik, Beth Adams, Dan Francis and Matthew Francis, and her 2 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; Robert R. Cooper, her daughter; Diane Klecker, her siblings; Donald Watkins and Bernadine Kelly and her great granddaughter; Natalie Francis.
Visitation for Millie will take place on Saturday, June 19, 2021 from 11:00 until 12 Noon at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 2838 Capital Ave SW Battle Creek, MI 49015.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home with Rev. James Watkins officiating. Entombment will follow at Battle Creek Memorial Park.
