Matthew A. Maxson

Matthew A. Maxson, 52, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on November 6, 2021, at his home in Bellevue. He was born July 16, 1969, to Galen P. and Edith M. (Bishop) Maxson in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Matt was employed by Alliance Interiors, LLC. He graduated from Harper Creek High School and earned his Journeyman’s Card in Machine Repair from RMTC in Battle Creek. Matt was a classic car enthusiast, of which his all-time favorite was the Firebird. His hobbies included RC cars and guns. He also enjoyed his annual trip to the races with his son, Chase in Galesburg and Kalamazoo.

Matt is survived by his sons, Chase M. Maxson (Sabrina) and Carson M. Maxson, both of Bellevue and his first grandchild, she is expected to arrive in March of 2022 to Chase and Sabrina. Also brother, Andrew Maxson (Debbie) of Springfield and sister, Jeannine (Maxson) Davis of Grand Rapids; three nephews, Jeffrey Davis (Rainbeau), Brandon Davis, and Jeremy Maxson (Kelcie); as well as his former wife and mother of his sons, Michele Sisco.

Visitation will be held at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 205 N. Elizabeth Street, Bellevue, MI 49021 on Friday, November 12, 2021, from 11:00am until the time of the funeral service which begins at 12:00pm and will be officiated by Pastor Robert Heine.
