Mary J. Linsley

Mary J. Linsley, 86, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on July 1, 2021 at Glen Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek.
Mary was born on October 02, 1934 in Sunfield, Michigan to George L. and Violet C. (George) Richard.
Mary was a graduate of Charlotte High School. She married Gerald Linsley on October 12, 1952 in Kalamo, Michigan.
She was a longtime member of Nashville Baptist Church and a former member of Minges Creek Racquet Club in Battle Creek. She loved to play tennis and she enjoyed playing golf, playing cards with friends and grandchildren and wintering with Gerald in Florida. Above all else, Mary loved her family as she always made sure they were cared for. She will be missed for her gracious and generous heart.
Mary is survived by her husband; Gerald Linsley; her son's; Carl (Terri) Linsley of Battle Creek, Michigan and Gary (Penny) Linsley of Battle Creek, Michigan; her 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, her siblings; Harry (Pat) Wurts of East Aurora, New York, Helen Baird of Northville, Michigan, Gloria Linsley of Columbia City, Indiana, Doug (Pat) Smurr of Marshall, Michigan and Suzie (Patton) Elliott of Lansing, Michigan and her daughter-in-law; Pat Olmstead. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son; Gordon Linsley, her foster parents; Elston (Ethel) Smurr, her siblings; George Richard, Ed Elsie, Barb Linsley and Sandy Kirk and her very special mother and father-in-law Alta and LZ Linsley.
A private graveside service will be held at Ellis Cemetery in Assyria Township, Michigan with Pastor Lester DeGroot officiating.
