Marion A. (Smith) Ramer

Marion A. Ramer, 71, of Bellevue, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2020 at home surrounded by her loving family. Marion was born on February 17, 1949 in San Diego, California to Lawrence (Larry) Johnson and Opal (Conant) Smith. She was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. Marion married Willis (Bill) Ramer on April 18, 1986. Marion was an Air Force Reservist for many years at the Air National Guard Base in Battle Creek. She worked as a Shift Supervisor in the kitchen at the State Hospital in Kalamazoo for 10 years. Marion is survived by her husband Willis (Bill) Ramer; her sons, Brian ( Lisa) Carnell of Kalamazoo, Michigan and Scott (Tammy) Carnell of Goshen, Indiana; her father Lawrence (Larry) Johnson of Flint, Michigan; her siblings, Kent Conant of Nashville, Michigan, Archie (Sheila) Smith of Battle Creek, and Joel (Judy) Smith of Indiana; her grandchildren, Clarrissa Decker, Patrick Carnell, Emma Carnell and Colin Carnell; and her brother-in-law, Rodney Hughes. She was preceded in death by her mother Opal Smith; Lowen Conant, Opal Schrontz, Kathy Hughes, and MonaRaye Conant. A private graveside funeral service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue.
