Marcalyn "Joan" (Sanders) Goss

Marcalyn “Joan” (Sanders) Goss, 92, of Battle Creek, went home to be with the Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, August 30, 2023.

Joan was born January 8, 1931 in Bellevue, Michigan to Clendee and Lucille (Ackley) Sanders. Joan graduated from Bellevue High School in 1948 and went on to work for Kellogg’s in the Payroll Department. She retired in 1986 with a total of 36 years of service.

In 1950 she married her loving husband Dale Goss and they were married 73 years. Together they had a son Kevin (Debi) Goss, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren.

Joan liked to cook, especially for her family. She enjoyed counted cross-stitch, playing cards, reading, and visiting the Casinos. She was a member of the American Legion #298 Auxiliary on North 20th Street. Joan and Dale went on many Viking River Cruises and traveled all 50 U.S States. They also spent their winters in Florida.

Joan is survived by her loving husband, Dale; her son, Kevin (Debi); grandchildren, Cortney (Ryan) Rowe, Kelsey (Justin Baker) Goss, and Christopher (Toon) Goss; great-grandchildren Brayden Goss, Xander Goss, Tucker Rowe, and Lucille Rowe; and step great grandchildren, Peyton Rowe and Ashton Rowe.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents and granddaughter, Maleah “Mia” Goss.

Joans wishes were to be cremated with no service and a graveside service for family in Bellevue at the Riverside Cemetery.
