Madgie G. (Mullins) Allen

Madgie G. Allen, 92, of Quincy, passed away on April 13, 2023, with her family by her side.

She was born in Melvin, Kentucky, on December 3, 1930, the daughter of the late Milford Mullins and Della (Tackett) Mullins. Madgie worked for Corning's Glass Company for 25 years and then for Addison Products until its closing. On December 27, 1947, she married the love of her life, Cisco Allen. Cisco preceded her in death on April 5, 2017. She was a member of Old Regular Baptist Church. She loved to garden, and she enjoyed traveling.

Madgie is survived by her two daughters, Patricia (Herb) Holbrook and Diane Allen; brother, Russell Mullins and sister, Irene Johnson; thirteen grandchildren, Tina Johnson, Joe Hopkins, Brad and Brandi Holbrook, Misty Crum, Seana Allen, Mylee, DeNel Bowser, Holbrook, Caley Hopkins, Chaz Hopkins, Charlie Johnson, Kathy Johnson; and six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cisco Allen; siblings, Margie Isaac, Landis Mullins, Lora Joyce Caudill, Rosella Mullins, Luther Mullins; daughter, Rita Crum; and grandchildren, Sabrina Crum and Mitchell Holbrook.

Friends may visit with the family from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 303 S Hillsdale St, Homer, MI 49245, where the funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023. Pastor Abe Prater will officiate the service with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery in Homer.
