Lynn D. Hopkins

Lynn "Hoppy" D Hopkins, 75, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on March 29, 2021 at his residence.
Hoppy was born on December 30, 1945 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Neil and Betty (Whaley) Hopkins. He married Joan Meadows on May 27, 1978.
He served in the United States Navy from July 31, 1964 and was honorably discharged on July 25, 1966.
Hoppy worked as a Machinist for over 38 years at Union Pump in Battle Creek, Michigan. He was a Union Representative for Union Pump for 3 years.
Hoppy was a member of HD Riders of Battle Creek. He was excellent at fixing cars, doing home project's and making things for the house. He loved to ride his Harley-Davidson and travel throughout the United States with his wife Joan in their fifth wheel. He truly enjoyed the simple things in life yet, he would try anything once.
Hoppy is survived by his children, Sharilynn (Jim) Martin of Hermosa, S. Dakota, Lynda (Rufus) Littlefield of Seattle, Washington and Teresa (John) Grosboll of Waxahachie, Texas; his grandchildren; Nathanael, Annelise, Alanna and John. his siblings, Nells (Laura) Hopkins of Battle Creek, Michigan, Maggie (Dick) Critchfield of Canton, Ohio, Mike Hopkins of Glendale, Arizona and Hank (Sue) Hopkins of Battle Creek, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Joan Hopkins.
A private funeral service will be held at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 2838 Capital Ave. SW Battle Creek, Michigan 49015 with Karen Penrod officiating. Interment will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan.
