Leon A. Bennett

Leon Anthony Bennett, 75, of Marshall, MI passed away on August 20, 2021, peacefully at his residence. Leon was born on October 5, 1945, in Battle Creek, MI to the late, Robert and Loretta (Kibler) Bennett. Following high school graduation, Leon completed an electrical apprenticeship at Grand Trunk and proudly worked as an electrician at Kellogg Company for over 25 years.

Leon was an avid gun collector and enjoyed the gun range, he also loved cars…especially his corvettes. Leon later discovered the pleasure of auctions and spent much of his time hunting for tools and other treasures. He also enjoyed conversation with the auctioneers and all the guys he’d met along the way.

Leon is survived by two children, Kristen (Myron) McPhail and Robert (Lisa) Bennett; five grandchildren, Justin, Alex, Brionna, Jayden and Mandie; brothers Larry Bennett and Richard Bennett. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Bennett.

Services have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 U.S. Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI, 49068. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and the family will gather privately for a Celebration of Life.
