Lawrence R. Jeffery

Lawrence R. Jeffery, 77, of Marshall died on Saturday, June 27, 2020 surrounded by his family at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence following a long illness.

Larry was born in Marshall to Lawrence and Virginia Jeffery.  He graduated from Marshall High School in 1960.  Following graduation, Larry joined the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1964.  After serving in the Air Force, Larry went on to graduate from Western Michigan University. He married Janice Gagnon in 1968, and they celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Larry retired from the Department of Defense after 28 years of service.  Prior to his work with the government he was a math teacher for Bellevue Schools for five years, and he attained his Certified Public Accountant credential.  Larry was an avid reader who enjoyed history and cherished quiet time. Larry was a very caring and generous man who enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and his dog Molly.

He is survived by his wife Janice; children, William Jeffery and Jill Jeffery; and siblings, Virginia Elaine (Daniel) Keck and Dennis (Chris) Jeffery.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
