Kody A. Fisher

Kody A. Fisher, 27, of Homer, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Bronson Hospital Kalamazoo following a short illness.

Kody was born on June 7, 1994, in Marshall to April L. Fisher.  He attended Homer Schools.  On August 2, 2021, he married Danielle N. Wright in Homer at their home.

Kody had been working for Total Fire Protection out of Grand Rapids checking and installing fire sprinkler systems. He had been working for the past few years until his illness in July of 2021.  Prior to that he worked at Quality Asphalt for many years.  Kody enjoyed the outdoors.  He would always love riding four-wheelers and dirt bikes, hunting and fishing, and hanging out with his family. He enjoyed coaching little league baseball.  Kody loved being a stepdad and spending time with his stepchildren.

He is survived by his wife Danni; expected daughter Oaklynn in September 2021; stepchildren Dawson and Sophia; his mother April Fisher; siblings, Adara and Devon Fisher; Grandmother Patricia Fisher; Aunt Addie (Bob) Willison; Uncle Charlie (Jennifer) Fisher; nieces and nephews, Keegan, Cauy, and Keir Willison, Khloey and Zoey Fisher, Ariana and Krystina Brutsche; best friend Tyler “Tater” VanHorn; and special father figure, Brad Holbrook.  He was preceded in death by his best friend Mitchell Holbrook in 2013 and his grandfather David Fisher in 2020
