Kay Ellen (Leach) McKeague

Kay Ellen McKeague, 72, of Battle Creek died on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family following a long illness.
Kay was born on March 31, 1948 in Marshall to Stuart and Helen (Pohachuk)Leach. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1966. On April 2, 1997 she married Marc "Moe" McKeague in Battle Creek.
Kay worked for Tenneco in Marshall for 25 years. She retired in 2013. She also was a manager for the PS Food Mart and a Cosmetologist at Dorotha's in Homer. Kay loved her cats, and she enjoyed working in her flower garden. She will always be remembered as a conscientious, compassionate, and caring person always looking out to help others.
She is survived by her husband Marc McKeague; sister, Barbara (Daniel) Keith; nephews, Darin (Andrea) Keith, Dennis Keith; and great niece and nephew, Jolie Keith and Brandon Keith. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family will greet friends on October 25, 2020 from 1-3pm at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall MI 49068. **Due to Covid19 there are marked entrances and exits and distancing per state guidelines** A memorial service will take place at11am on Monday October 26, 2020 at the Kempf family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall MI 49068. A private interment will take place at Oakridge Cemetery.
