Karl J. Kadlub, 92, of Battle Creek, MI went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on March 7, 2018. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and later earned a doctorate degree in psychology from the University of Illinois.
Karl worked at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center and was the chief clinical psychologist at the Battle Creek Sanitarium. His breaking research on SIDS was published in Pediatrics Digest and the Michigan Journal of Medicine. He also spoke at the International Congress of Pathology in Prague, Czechoslovakia. Karl, a proud Catholic, enjoyed traveling, hunting, painting and building model planes, trains and dioramas.
Karl was married to Jean-Marie Kadlub for 69 years. He is survived by his wife, their children Greg Kadlub, Kandace Van Reken,Rock Kadlub and Robin Schmidt, 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends at the Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Service, Marshall on Monday, March 12, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00pm. Funeral service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Battle Creek on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 11:00am with Fr. Jose Haro officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery with military honors ceremony. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
