Julie Anne (Powers) Flynn

Julie Anne Flynn, age 57, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on August 28, 2023.  

Julie was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, on May 2, 1966, the daughter of the late Phillip and Barbara (Robinson) Powers. She graduated from St. Philip High School. She was a former member of St. Philip Catholic Church in Battle Creek. Julie was a loving and adventurous person. She loved all animals and enjoyed reading & gardening.

Julie is survived by her son and daughter, Shane (Jessie Morris) Flynn and Stephanie (Griffith) Cook-Kirsch; sister, Becky (Dan) Powers-Livingston; grandson, James Cook-Kirsch; nephews, Bobby (Ivah) Powers-Livingston and Michael (Kyelee) Powers-Livingston; great-nephew, Aiden Powers-Livingston. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Phillip Gary Powers and Barbara Ann Powers; and her aunt, Joyce Powers.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at St. Philip Roman Catholic Church, 112 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017. Fr. James Richardson will officiate the Mass, with a graveside service to follow at Morgan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in Julie’s memory to the Humane Society of South-Central Michigan.
