Jazmine Johnson

Jazmine Marie Johnson, 15, of Tekonsha crossed the rainbow bridge to Jesus on January 15, 2021 at home with her family.

Jazmine came to her forever home in April of 2006 where she became a service dog, confident, best friend and family member to her best friend Melanie Johnson.

Jazmine never left Mel’s side, alerted those nearby when Mel needed help. Jazmine’s favorite place to be was riding behind Mel’s back in the power chair. A faithful traveler with Mel until her older years, Jaz saw the country from the front seat with her head out the window, ears flopping in the wind.

Jazmine loved living on the farm, an avid ground mole hunter, Jaz loved sprinting out of the garage to find her prey and running about the barns. Jaz loved going to get coffee hour to see grandpa and share morning cookies and wasn’t afraid to snub the ones she didn’t care for. She had her favorite toys, snacks and ate anything that the family did but her all-time favorite was peanut butter and Reese cups.

She is survived by her parents Melanie and Tammy Johnson, brother Luke Johnson, fur brother Sam Johnson. She was preceded in death by her fur sister MeoMeo.

A private family service will be held at a later time. Memorial contributions may be given to Tekonsha Animal Hospital and Erin’s Angels.
