Hetty "Betty" E. (Baker) Moffat

April 11, 1924 — August 22, 2021

Hetty Ethel Moffat, 97

Known as “Betty”, she was born to the late George and Hetty Baker in London England on April 11, 1924, and passed away on August 22, 2021. Betty met her late husband Donald Moffat near the end of World War II at a social dance for soldiers on leave in London. They fell in love and were married. When Don was discharged from the US Army, they moved to America with son Geoff and settled in Dexter, Michigan. They returned to London on several occasions to visit family, once with their grandson Brian. In 1991, Betty and Don moved to Marshall to be near children and grandchildren.

She was an avid reader and loved poetry. After Don retired, together they spent many years traveling all around the mid-west collecting antiques and other special “finds”.

Betty is survived by son Geoff Moffat, adopted son Ken Moffat, as well as 6 grandchildren: Brian, Jennifer, Jodie, Jessica, Jason and Tammy and numerous great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Services have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 U.S. Hwy 27N, Marshall, MI, 49068.
