Glenna Lee (Ralston) Farnham

Glenna Lee Farnham, 80, of Bellevue, Michigan passed away peacefully at home after battling a long illness on Tuesday, June 28, 2022.

She was born on December 1, 1941 to Glenn Ralston and Lillie (Bauman) Washburn at Marshall, Michigan. On August 16, 1961, she married James R. Farnham in Battle Creek, sadly he passed away on August 19, 2002.

Glenna worked at several places before beginning her career in 1974 at Post Cereal Company in Battle Creek, Michigan, including Cut-Rate, Meijer, Allman’s Pastry and at Andy’s Drive-In where she met her husband, James. She retired from Post in 1997 as a Security Guard. Glenna had several family members who worked with her at Post including her husband, two sons, her husband’s uncle and cousin with combined seniority of over 196 years.

Glenna enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and completing jigsaw puzzles. She loved to work in her yard, especially handling stones and rocks as she found great comfort in doing this. Glenna was an avid reader of murder/mystery novels and Detroit Tiger’s fan, whether she was watching them on TV or listening to them on the radio. She always appreciated the family making sure they saved enough of a meal that included her.

Glenna is survived by her three sons, one daughter, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband James.

Cremation has taken place and the family will have a private memorial.

Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive Tampa, FL 33607; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the charity of one's choice.
