Gail Lynne VanderGeest, 63, of Marshall, Michigan passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at HCR Battle Creek, Michigan.
Gail was born on February 15, 1958 in Lansing, Michigan to Donald L. and Marilyn Louise (Blake) VanderGeest.
She began working for the Marshall Recreation Department after graduating from Marshall High School, she also worked as a scheduler at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo for many years.
She was a cheerleader as a child and into her school years, as her dad, Donald VanderGeest coached the basketball teams. Gail enjoyed going with her Mom to antique stores and craft stores. She was an animal lover, especially cats and enjoyed late night T.V. shows. Gail enjoyed helping with class and family reunions. Above all else, Gail loved her family, as she would always check in on how her extended family was doing.
Gail is survived by her father, Donald VanderGeest of Marshall, Michigan, her brothers: Kirk (Janice) VanderGeest of Clovis, California and Kent (Victoria) VanderGeest of Hobe Sound, Florida, her nieces and nephews: Blake (Megan) VanderGeest of Northbrooke, Illinois, Brett (Nicole) VanderGeest of Concord, California, Kelli VanderGeest of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Kaci VanderGeest of Brandon, Florida and Grant VanderGeest of Clovis, California. Gail is also survived by 3 great nieces and 1 great nephew. She was preceded in death by her mother Marilyn VanderGeest.
Visitation for Gail will take place on Friday, Marsh 19, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US Hwy 27 N. Marshall, Michigan 49068.
Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 20, 2021 at the funeral home with Rev. James Abshagen officiating. Interment will be at Cuddeback Cemetery in Paw Paw, Michigan.
