Frances W. (Wentland) Parker

Frances "Nana" Parker, 92, of Marshall died on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family following a short illness.
Fran was born on April 12, 1928 in Bristol, Connecticut to Robert and Emily Wentland. She graduated from high school in 1946. On August 14, 1948 she married Luther Judd Parker Jr. in Bristol, Connecticut. He preceded her in death on May 1, 2013.
Fran was a home maker staying home to raise her family. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Marshall. Fran was an avid gardener and loved caring for all types of animals especially Belle, Duke, and Danny. She also loved to read and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughters, Kimberley (Norman) Rich of Boyton Beach Florida and Durrie Parker of Marshall; daughter-in-law Catherine Parker of Kingsford; grandchildren, Jessica Rich, Lauren Rich, Greg (Marion Read) Pruitt, Michael (Caiti) Pruitt, Noah Parker, Hannah Wicks, Cody Wicks, Miles Newton and Remy Soper; great-grandchildren, Joseph Pallante, Isaiah Rich, Zahra Wicks, Cody Wicks Jr., Lucious Wicks, and Ximena Wilhelm; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Kurt Parker, and Luther Judd Parker III; and seven siblings.
A memorial service will take place at 1pm on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Christ Lutheran Church 440 West Drive North, Marshall MI 49068 with Reverend Robert Riggs and Reverend David Boedecker officiating. Memorial contributions are requested to Christ Lutheran Church Mission Fund, 440 West Drive North, Marshall MI 49068.
