Etta L. (Clark) Ward

Etta L. Ward, 84, of Battle Creek died on Monday January 18, 2021 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo following a short illness.
Etta was born on November 27, 1936 in Allegan to Benton G. and Iola M. (Foster) Clark. She married Lawrence J. Ward in Battle Creek. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Etta worked for Post Cereal in Battle Creek for 38 years. She retired in 1990. When she was younger, Etta enjoyed horse riding, going to the rodeos, and dancing. She also enjoyed being outdoors going mushroom hunting. Etta enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son Mark Ward; a grandson Mark J. Lawrence Ward; a great-granddaughter Serenity; and a sister Rose Hickman. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a sister Beverly E. Halder.
Due to covid19 a memorial service will be held at a later date. Etta will be laid to rest next to her husband Lawrence at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
