Estill (JR) Watts, 67, of Albion Michigan passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on February 9, 2021 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born on September 4, 1953 in Albion Michigan to Estil Watts and Naomi Leffew Watts. JR married his soulmate Ruby Goble on July 14, 1973 in Albion Michigan. He loved to build and fix everything, take care of his family, play with his dogs, and spoil his grandchildren. He was always in love with cars and loved to drive in his convertible. He loved traveling and seeing the world, he always wanted to see and learn everything. He was an amazing role model to his family and everyone around him. He was a hardworking man who owned BR Wholesale in Marshall Michigan for 25 years. He was selfless, strong, determined, and loved everyone unconditionally. He never hesitated to drop everything to come and be there for you. He was the most talkative, generous, friendly, and fun-loving man who never met a stranger. His greatest joy of all was loving his family and friends.
JR is survived by his wife Ruby (Goble) Watts of 47 years; his stepmother Grace Watts; his children Kevin (Traci) Watts, Angel Watts; his grandchildren Kourtney (Jacob) Tabor, Dustin (Tejah) Howard, Marissa (Garrett) Case, Kasandra Watts, Cheyenne Watts; his 1 great grandson and 4 great granddaughters; and his siblings Richard (Teresa) Howard, Katherine (John) Monroe, Roger (Carrie) Howard, Darlene Posthuma, Glenda Watts, Bobbie Jo Garnant; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandmother Jannie Leffew, his grandfather William Leffew, and his stepfather Bobby Howard.
Visitation will take place from 4-8 pm on Friday, February 12, 2021 at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. A funeral service will take place on Saturday 13, 2021, at 11 am at Marshall United Methodist Church, 721 US Highway 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068, with Pastor Melany Chalker Officiating.
