Eric L. Johnson

Eric L. Johnson, 64, of Marshall died on Friday, March 6, 2020 at home following a short illness.

Eric was born on June 22, 1955 in Marshall to Richard and Joyce (Merritt) Johnson.  He graduated from Marshall High School in 1973.

Eric worked for Collins and Aikman in Marshall for several years. He enjoyed horses and being outdoors camping.  Eric also enjoyed playing in Rec League Sports, Basketball and Baseball. His true passion was golf and he golfed on many different golf leagues in the area.

He is survived by his wife Kathy Johnson of Marshall; son Derrick (Melissa) Neitzka of Grand Rapids; mother, Joyce Warner of Marshall; step-sons, Casey Hays and Jeremy Woods both of Marshall; grandchildren, Derrick Neitzka Jr., Brennin Neitzka, and Keaggan Neitzka; and siblings Randy (Janet) Johnson, Larry Johnson, Glenda (Bret) Rosenau, and Shannan (Tim) Myers.  He was preceded in death by his father; a brother Richard “Ricky” Johnson; and a step-son Jacob Woods.
