Duane L. Brubaker

Duane L. Brubaker 86, of Marshall, died on Saturday May 22, 2021 at the Villa's at Winston Park Following a short illness.
Duane was born on August 1, 1934 in Marshall to Edwin and Monica (Spencer) Brubaker. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1952. Duane served honorably in the United States Army from 1956-1958. On May 26, 1956 he married Joyce Ann Katz in Marshall. She preceded him in death on March 21, 2011.
Duane worked for the Eaton Company in Marshall for 29 years. He retired in 1983. Along with working at Eaton's, he also farmed in the Marshall area for most of his life. Duane enjoyed the outdoors, cutting wood, working in the field, hunting, and fishing. He was an avid auction goer, and always looked for the good bargains.
He is survived by his sons, Barry (Cathy) Brubaker, Doug (Karen) Brubaker, and Mark Brubaker; six grandchildren Chelsea (Greg) Esterline, Drew Brubaker, Joey Brubaker, Abigail Brubaker, Megan (Lance) Oland, Nicholas Brubaker; four great-grandchildren Cole, Connor, Coby, and Mason; and brothers, Jim Brubaker, John Brubaker. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Joyce, and a brother Ray Brubaker.
A private graveside service will take place at Porter Cemetery. Memorial contributions are requested to Oaklawn Hospice, 13444 Preston Drive Marshall MI 49068.
