Don "Doni" Corey Malik

Don Corey Malik, 68, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on January 9, 2023 at his home.

He was born on August 3, 1954 to Lowell Malik and Evelyn Ormsbee in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Doni worked as a cook and dishwasher at many Battle Creek area restaurants. While living in Houston, Texas he worked as a plumber and a builder. His favorite was to go fishing. He will be fondly remembered for being able to fix just about anything, from cars to home projects. Above all else he loved his family and especially his grandchildren.

Don is survived by his children, Joseph Stokr of Sherwood, Michigan and Star Marie Malik of Warsaw, Indiana; his six grandchildren, Joe Stokr of Sherwood, Michigan, Jenna Stokr of Sherwood, Michigan and Holly Stokr of Sherwood, Michigan, Damian Malik of Warsaw, Virginia Malik of Warsaw and Zadia Threet of Bellevue, Michigan; his siblings, Linda  Ramriez of Humble, Texas, Mary Wesner-Randall of Hastings, Michigan, Crystal (Clyde) Johnson of Grapeland, Texas, Teresa (Jim) Ower of Livingston, Texas, Valerie Bouchard of Naples, Florida, Sheryl Malik of Conroe, Texas; Brother and Joseph Malik of Thailand.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Corey Malik.

A private Celebration of Life service for Doni will be held at a later date. The burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery in Bellevue, Michigan.

Memorials are suggested to the family.
