Dennis Weers

Dennis Weers, 72, of Marshall passed away on Sunday May 31, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family following a long illness.

Dennis was born on February 16, 1948 in Marshall to Albert and Vivian (Nelson) Weers.  He graduated from Marshall High School in 1966.  Dennis joined the United States Army in 1967 and he was honorably discharged in 1970.    On June 25, 2004 he married Gail Ribbey in Battle Creek.

Dennis retired from Union Steel in 1997 when the shop closed after working over 30 years.  After his retirement, Dennis went to work for Boshears Ford in Marshall for ten years.  He was a member of the Marshall Moose Lodge #676 and the National Rifle Association. Dennis enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping.

He is survived by his Wife, Gail Weers; son Denis (Stephanie) Weers; grandchildren Brayden, Samantha, and Kaydence; siblings Edward (Tonja) Weers, Mary Jo (Paul) Manhart, Larry (Karen) Weers, Cheryl (Edgar) Scripter, Alice (Bernie) Blare, William (Lisa) Walters, and  Barbara Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Paul Weers.
