Delia (Herrera) Sanchez

Delia Sanchez, 84, of Battle Creek, passed away on November 7, 2021 at Glen Arbor Hospice Residence.

She was born on March 30, 1937 to Samuel and Lina (Acosta) Herrera in Laredo, TX. She graduated from Marshall High School. Delia worked for State Farm Insurance Company for many years. She was united in marriage with Augustin Sanchez.

She was a member of League of United Latin American Citizens and was actively involved with Perpetual Adoration Chapel at St. Philip Catholic Church.

Delia is survived by her loving husband, Augustin Sanchez; two Sons, James (significant other Beverly I. Bennett) Sanchez, Ricardo Sanchez, and one daughter, Rebecca (Alan) Schneider; grandchildren, Jenée Schneider and Cole Schneider; two sisters, Celia Garcia and Juana Harris, and one brother, Raul Herrera.

She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Herrera and her mother, Lina Herrera; and siblings, Salome, Consuelo, Anastacio, Arturo, Oscar, Samuel, Maria Nieves, and Esperanza.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 12, 2021 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 212 W. Hanover St, Marshall, MI 49068. A graveside ceremony will follow the Mass in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall.
