Obituary
David Lee Westmoreland, 75, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away unexpectedly on February 26, 2023. He was born in Highland Park on January 27, 1948, to James and Audrey (Christie) Westmoreland and lived in Royal Oak. David attended Kimball High, Class of 1966. He then proudly enlisted in the US Marine Corp serving two tours of duty in Vietnam from 1966-1969. David worked for HVAC companies before retiring. He enjoyed all sports especially fishing, and savored his time with his wife, and sons.
David is survived by his loving wife, Susan of 41 years; sons, Eric and Brian (Karolyn); granddaughters, Leah and Julia. He is also survived by his siblings, Pam Frasard (Steve), Mark (Sue), Michael (Jeanette), Kim, and Kevin. David was preceded in death by his parents, James and Audrey; and brother, Gary.
Services have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 2838 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, MI 49015. A committal service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 11:15AM in Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Rd, Augusta, MI 49012, Chaplain Zachary Hooey officiating.
