Craig Hunt

Craig "Peanut" Hunt, 57, of Homer, Michigan passed away on April 18, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at home.

He was born on August 1, 1963 in Pikeville, Kentucky to Earl and Vercie Bishop Hunt.

He had worked at Jesco in Litchfield, Eckrich in Quincy and then as a welder at Brembo in Homer. Peanut loved gardening, especially vegetable, fishing, hunting and working out in the yard. He was a true family man and loved spending time with them.

Peanut is survived by his wife Rita Hunt; his children, Cassie (Andrew Yoachum) Hunt Litchfield, Michigan, Kile (Amanda Williams) Hunt of Jonesville, Michigan and Christine Double of Adrian, Michigan; his grandchildren, Chloee, Johnathan, Scarlet and Autumn, his siblings; Joann (Dennis) Johnson of Jonesville, Michigan and Becky (Mike) Tackett of Homer, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Viola Damron, Connie Shaw, Betty Jo Hunt and Jeanette Hunt.

Visitation for Peanut will take place on Friday, April 23, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 303 S Hillsdale St, Homer, MI 49245. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM with visitation starting at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Pastor John Torrey officiating. Interment will take place at Bentleys Corner Cemetery in Clarendon Twp., Michigan.

Memorial contributions are requested to Marshall Church of Christ, American Diabetes Association or Oaklawn Home Care and Hospice
