Constance Marie (Baker) Tower, age 84, of Battle Creek died peacefully, Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Calhoun County Medical Care Facility.
The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lakeview Baptist Church, 601 Riverside Drive, Battle Creek. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, Oct 29, 2019 at Lakeview Baptist Church with the Rev. John Messner Jr. officiating. A luncheon will follow. Burial will be at Fort Custer. Arrangements are by the Battle Creek Chapel of the Kempf Family Funeral Homes and Cremation Services.
Connie was born to Ales (Jacobs) and Lorenzo Baker on June 18, 1935 in Jackson OH. She graduated from Lakeview High in 1953. On October 30, 1955, she married John Norman Tower at the Lakeview Baptist Church. Connie retired from the family sandwich making business, Baker's Sandwiches. She also worked as a matron for the Battle Creek Police department, as well as Central Dispatch. Connie also worked as a seamstress, book keeper, and crossing guard. She was very involved in Camp Fire Girls, bowling league for Bakers Sandwiches, and filled many roles over the years at Lakeview Baptist Church.
Survived by her husband, Norm of Battle Creek; children Teresa (Terri) Tower Thomson of Garden City, Janet (Wes) Cuatt of Albion, and Catherine (Cathi) Tower of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Jonathon (Patricia) Beaver of Battle Creek, Emily Thomson of Oak Park; 6 great grandchildren. She is also survived by nine nieces and nephews and their families.
Connie is preceded in death by Robert (Bob) Baker, Bonnie (Baker) Darnell, Lorenzo Baker, Ales Baker
