Constance Marie (Bodah) Savard

Constance Marie Savard, age 86, of Tupper Lake, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Reflections Memory Care in Battle Creek, MI. Connie was born on July 21, 1934, the daughter of Rudolph and Hazel (Laramee) Bodah. She was united in marriage with Leon E. Savard on September 14, 1952. They enjoyed sixty-seven years of marriage together, raising five loving children. Leon preceded Connie in death on August 23, 2019.

She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Tupper Lake, New York, where she was actively involved. Connie enjoyed singing in the church choir. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening, and baking. She made "The Best Pies". She loved her family and was one of the best examples of a mom you could imagine.

While living in Marshall, Michigan, she worked at Hemmingsen Drug Store. She was a Lioness in the Lions Club.

She is survived by five children, Paul (Bonnie) Savard, Deborah (Raul) Buczynski, Michael Savard, Donna (Richard) Gelnar, and Dianna (Michael) Sobutka; seventeen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Janis (Butch) LaFave. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon E. Savard; her parents, Rudolph and Hazel Bodah; two grandchildren; her sister and brother Betty Barnett and Willliam Bodah.

A private family gathering will be held in Marshall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021 at St. Alphonsus Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 48 Wawbeek Avenue, Tupper Lake, NY, 12986. A graveside service will follow the Mass in Holy Name Cemetery, in Tupper Lake, NY.
