Chelcie Justice

Chelcie Justice, age 85, of Albion passed away October 3, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Chelcie was born on June 4, in Kentucky to Earnest and Drucie (Spradlin) Hackworth. Her family states she married way too young but her most prized possessions were her children, grand and great-grandchildren. She held various positions from waitress to office manager and could work her way through any problem. She enjoyed computer games saying it kept her mind young, in her younger days she was quite a seamstress creating clothing for her family and was self taught in many things. Her family had nicknamed her ‘Flash' because she loved taking pictures and videos at reunions and other family gatherings. ‘Princess' was the loving nickname her inner circle gave her.

Chelcie was a long-time member of the Christ Apostolic Church in Albion since she started attending church as a child; she also enjoyed being the church videographer when she was physically able to do it.

Chelcie is survived by her son, David Justice of NC; daughter, Sandra Justice of MI; grandchildren, Jennifer (Dwayne) Shubert of NC, Kevin (Maria Core) Justice of VA, Tiffany (Jim) Peters of TX, Rachael Justice of TX, and Steven Justice of FL; and siblings, Clois (Monnie) Hackworth of Homer, Bonnie (Larry) Hill of MS, and Bruce (Gail) Hackworth of St. Joe. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 sons, Larry, Mark and Stephen Justice; daughter in law, Debbie Justice; brothers, Clayton and Loren Hackworth; and sister, JanaBee Yates.

Visitation will take place at the Christ Apostolic Church located at 503 N Superior St, Albion, MI 49224 on Wednesday October 9, 2019 from 11am-1pm.
A funeral service at the church will follow the visitation, beginning at 1pm. Chelcie will be laid to rest next to her mother in Cooks Prairie Cemetery in Clarendon Township.

The family is being served by the Kempf Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 Old US 27 North, Marshall Chapel.

Memorial contributions are requested to the Christ Apostolic Church.
