Charlotte S. (Thompson) Freiny

Charlotte Sue Freiny, 62, of Battle Creek, passed away on January 18, 2022, in Battle Creek, MI. 

She was born on December 15, 1959, to Elmer and Marie (Herman) Thompson in Marshall, MI. Charlotte attended school at Olivet High School, Class of 1978; Bay Mills Community College for two years and, she worked for Tenneco Manufacturing for the past 10 years. She passionately loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed vegetable gardening and animals!

Charlotte is survived by her four loving children, Karl P. (Laura) Freiny of Marion, MI, Jennifer M. (Joe) Biggerstaff of Battle Creek, MI, Kyle M. Freiny of Cadillac, MI and Kevin K. (Stephanie) Freiny of Charlotte, MI; 11 grandchildren; mother, Marie Thompson of Battle Creek, MI; two sisters, Theresa (Jeff) Alcorn of Brimley, MI, Sheila (George) Love of Springport, MI and caring ex-husband, Michael C. Freiny of Cadillac, MI. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Thompson.

Services have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI  49068. Visitation will be held Friday, January 21, 2022, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday, January 22, 2022, from 11:00am until the time of the funeral service beginning at 12:00pm, Pastor Anthony Voltattorni, officiating. A graveside service will follow at Porter Cemetery in Convis Township. Memorial contributions are suggested to Charlotte’s family to help with expenses, funeral home staff will be available to assist.
